Please use the prayer for Spiritual Communion below:
Act of Spiritual Communion composed by St. Alphonsus Ligouri
My Jesus, I believe you are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already come, and I unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
The Book of Common Prayer is used during worship service at both sites, with Rite I order of worship during Advent and Lent at Trinity Chapel, Rite II order during the rest of the year, and Rite II at St. Paul’s all year.
Rite I is a quiet, stately service of Communion using an older liturgy that features Shakespearean English.
Rite II is a celebration of Communion using Contemporary language rooted in a traditional beautiful setting.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving; Go into his courts with praise; Give thanks to him and call upon his Name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; his faithfulness endures from age to age.” – Psalm 100:3-4
