Welcome – We’re So Glad You’re Here

“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me”Matthew 25:35

Welcome to the Episcopal Parish of Alton (EPA), a historic family-sized urban parish founded in 1836 and located along the Mississippi River just north of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. We are a member of the Springfield Diocese and a Eucharistic Community with two worship sites serving the Riverbend of Illinois – St. Paul’s Church, located in downtown Alton on the corner of Market & Third Streets, and Trinity Chapel located on State Street in North Alton.

We rejoice you chose to visit our website today and hope you’ll come and worship with us soon. When you visit the Episcopal Parish of Alton, you’ll be greeted warmly by our parishioners at both St. Paul’s Church and Trinity Chapel and we hope you’ll join us for coffee hour and fellowship following the worship service so we have an opportunity to welcome you personally.

God’s Blessings and Peace to You!
